As things heat up this season, a rich, rosy pout is practically mandatory. ‘‘We saw a lot of pink on the runways, and it’s definitely the statement to make on lips right now,’’ says François Nars, the founder and creative director of Nars Cosmetics. He equates choosing the right shade with picking any accessory: ‘‘Go with what you’re attracted to. Blue-based pinks will brighten any complexion, but it’s ultimately more important to select a shade that suits your style, one you feel comfortable with.’’A bit of daring can pay off. ‘‘With a shocking or bright hue, teeth appear brighter, as do the whites of eyes,’’ Nars says.
